10 GUIDING PHILOSOPHIES FOR BOSS BASEBALL YOUTH TEAMS

  1. Multiple sport athletes are not just welcome, but highly encouraged.

  2. Winning is a byproduct of a good team culture.

  3. Seasons will not begin until the start of the calendar year.

  4. Seasons will run no longer than six months.

  5. Players will not be discouraged from playing Little League.

  6. Coaches will be held to a high standard and expected to lead with positivity.

  7. We will not sacrifice winning over development - we are not here to be the best team, we are here to deliver the best experience.

  8. Parental/Family behavior expectations at games, practices, hotels, and travel, will be set extremely high.

  9. Parents are encouraged and expected to "release their child to the game"

  10. Player conduct is of utmost importance. There will be zero tolerance for poor sportsmanship and bad teammates.

  • A note on tryouts: We understand the landscape in youth baseball is pushing more and more for earlier tryouts in order to “lock” players in for the following year. For organizations that hold tryouts early, families are often left with the feeling that they must make a decision with only partial information on hand. To help negate this - and to help be more fair and honest with families - we have tried to line our tryouts up with other organizations in order for families decisions to be better informed.
