BOSS BASEBALL

YOUTH TEAMS

Learn more about Boss Baseball’s venture into youth baseball teams, as we put together our first campaigns for the 2024 season.

After 5 successful summers of running high school summer teams, Boss Baseball is excited to roster two youth teams for the 2024 spring season. Our new 11U and 9U teams will participate in tournaments across the PNW, play local games against other Central Oregon youth teams, and complete speed and strength training at Boss Sports Performance.

Before navigating to the 11U and 9U team pages, please take a moment to read our 10 guiding philosophies that help explain WHY we started our youth teams and what we expect them to look like.

10 GUIDING PHILOSOPHIES FOR BOSS BASEBALL YOUTH TEAMS

  1. All teams will have head coaches who are not parents/relatives of players.

  2. Seasons will not begin until January of the calendar year the team is playing and will run no longer than 6 months.

  3. Multiple sport athletes are not just welcome, they are encouraged.

  4. No player will be discouraged from playing Little League.

  5. Positive reinforcement in coaching, advising, and managing, will be the coaching standard and will be the only standard accepted.

  6. Development will always be emphasized over winning.

  7. Athletic development via Boss Sports Performance training will be a vital part of the season and each player's development.

  8. Players and families will always be encouraged to use spring break as family time and no tournaments will be scheduled during that week (following the BLSD calendar).

  9. Tournaments - Quality over quantity. We will not overload the schedule with tournaments.

  10. Games - We will search out local games and play as much locally as possible.  That is a scenario where everyone wins.
